Made in Italy, this set of nibs is ideal for perfecting the art of handwriting. Included are 10 steel nibs that are compatible with all Bortoletti nib holders. The truncated-tip nibs are used for various types of writing including Gothic calligraphy, while the flexible-tip nibs are used most commonly for cursive writing.
The shape of the nibs is inspired by traditional techniques - a vertical slit to allow for an ink reserve and a horizontal one that determines the shape of the tip. When first used, the calligraphy nib needs to be heated with a flame to remove the protective varnish.
