The Number One Opera Album 2004 is the sister album to the massively successful The Number One Classical Album 2004, and contains a host of popular opera favourites from many award-winning artists. The tracks included range from Luciano Pavarotti's rousing footie favourite "Nessun dorma" to Lesley Garrett and Bryn Terfel's touching "Bess You is My Woman Now". Timeless classics, such as Maria Callas's "Libiamo ne'lieti calici", nestle against contemporary hits, such as the Operababes' "One Fine Day", with many of the artists features having recently won awards at the Classical Brit Awards 2004, including Bryn Terfel and Renee Fleming.
