The condition of the book,overall, was in good shape. However, between two pages was something stuck to them. Looks like a bit of crushed potato chip and for several pages left an oily residue.I was disappointed that this book didn't have any photos of the wedding program, the invitations of the like.Other than the stain, it wasn't bad for the price.CUTE COUPLE!!!!! A lot of great photos and text. Bought it more than once, I LOVED it so much. I'm an artist, and I like to draw and paint pictures of the CUTEST couple, Will and Kate. Some books I keep intact, others I laminate pictures from in heavy duty thermal pouches on my laminator at home, which I also bought on Amazon. Turns out great. Price is reasonable for that, and it's FUN!?So niceDespite a bloody revolution in the 18th century many Americans embrace the Royals, my mother included, perhaps because they don't have to pay for them. But if you can't think of a present for yours, and she hasn't got it, this is a nice souvenir of the event involving two of the least objectionable (I quite like Wills & Kate) and best-looking of the lot. Also there are lots and lots of (big) photos. An adult picturebook, slickly accomplished and accompanied by untaxing prose: Mother is going to love this. Great buy.With my mother, we enjoy reading about the royal family in Britain. My mother remembers when the Queen was born as she (my mother) was born in 1920. I can remember the Queen's visit to my home town in Canada when she was still a princess. We usually follow what is going on in English, if at all possible.LOVE this book. Brought back watching the wedding on the day. Fantastic pictures and well written. Have read it again and again. Would recommend this a worthy momento of the wedding.Sent off to Canada to a cusion who collects Royal memorbiliaThe first half of the book provides mostly pictorial background information about the couple and their relationship, leading up to the engagement announcement and their first official joint visits. The second half covers the wedding itself, with over 70 pages of photographs and a brief accompanying text.The book contains a few photographs I had not seen before, including a couple of the meeting and greeting of foreign dignitaries after the ceremony and a beautifully detailed, full-page shot of the main wedding cake. It does not, however, include any of the official wedding photographs, which was a little disappointing.Ideally I would have liked a few more pages dedicated to photographs of the wedding itself and a better quality paper used for the printing but, overall, it almost hits the spot as a perfect souvenir of the Royal Wedding.Update June 2011Having now looked through several shops in Bath (a tourist destination where books of this type always used to be popular), I failed to locate any that had more photographs than this book. If you want a pictorial souvenir of the wedding, this is probably the best example currently available. I would still not rate it 5 stars as I would have liked a better quality of paper to have been used for printing and a few more photographs included but this book is generous by comparison to competitors in respect of the latter at least.
