Son of a Gun starring Ewan McGregor and Breton Thwaites is the new film by Australian writer / director Julius Avery. A24 is releasing it theatrically stateside. Locked up, 19-year old JR (Brenton Thwaites) finds himself under the protection of Austrlian’s public enemy No. 1, Brendan Lynch (Ewan McGregor)… but protection comes at a price. Lynche’s crew have plans for their young protégé and very soon the debt is called in. The lead singer of Australia’s The Mess Hall, Jed Kurzel, composed the original score to Son of a Gun. His experimental electronic score perfectly fits increasingly tense film. The album also includes the credit song, the beautiful oneiric “Enter One” by Sol Seppy.
